Did You Know?
Did you know that Dolphin’s share 80% of the same characteristics as we have? This includes, but not limited to, the same digestive system, the same reproductive system, the same testosterone levels, the same maternal/paternal instincts, as well as, the same lung size. They can holo their breath for 30 seconds up to 3 minutes. They process their food source the same as we do. They give single birth most of the time but have been documented having twins, & they milk feed their babies for the first few months of their life. Just like us.

Did you know that Dolphin’s are very compassionate mammals and our local dolphin’s are always found in pods. These pods are families and consist of mom, dad, 1 year old, & newborn. These are just a few of the immediate characteristics that we share with our dolphin friend’s. The 20% of differences between us consist in the obvious such as: the blow hole in the top of their head. This blow hole allows them to inhale air through their nose and mouth like us, but exhale through their blow hole while swimming effortlessly through the water.

Did you know that dolphin’s have a natural sonar system that allows them to travel up to 25 mph without hitting any solid objects that may be in the water. If their sonar system returns to them that a large solid object is in front of them, they know that it is a boat, sea wall, marine marker, sand bar, or land. They know to avoid these solid objects. If their sonar system returns to them that a large, scattered mass is in front of them, they know that it is a school of fish. This natural sonar makes dolphin’s not only perfect hunters, but perfect navigators also.
